Laila Muhammad is a seasoned journalist/host/television personality with more than a decade of experience. Whether she’s covering breaking news or interviewing celebrities for feature stories, Laila brings her own style and energy to the camera. She prides herself on being her true, authentic self on television. That means an occasional corny joke, high energy, a big smile, and rocking her natural, curly hair.
Prior to arriving at Eye Opener, Laila was a news anchor at WTKR-TV in Norfolk, VA for nearly 9 years. She got her on-camera start in Greenville, NC, as a reporter and anchor at WNCT-TV. She’s worked behind-the-scenes as a production assistant and devoted many long, unpaid hours as a super intern at the CBS Early Show, Best Damn Sports Show Period, FOX Sports West and WTOP Radio.
When she’s off camera, Laila enjoys motivating and mentoring aspiring journalists. She’s taught writing and performance courses as an adjunct professor at East Carolina University and Hampton University. Laila received her Master of Science in Journalism from the prestigious Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and History from Salem College. Laila’s alma mater awarded her with the Young Alumna Award for her professional accomplishments and volunteer work. Laila enjoys volunteering in the community, exercising, watching basketball (Go Duke!) and traveling. She’s always posting good stuff on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Kevin Roth is often described as “lovably-nerdy”, a title he considers to be the ultimate compliment! Kevin has a Bachelor’s in Science from The Florida State University, and a Master’s Degree in Atmospheric Science from Mississippi State University, and is certified by the National Weather Association. His strong science background is paired with a personality that is, at best, quirky (and at times downright goofy), providing a forecast which is both informative and entertaining.
Outside of the studio, Kevin teaches at a local university, and provides sports-weather forecasts for NFL and MLB games.
Fueled by punctuality, eagerness, (and probably some of the treats she’s made during cooking segments), Neeha has been sharing news on Eye Opener TV since 2014.

Courtenay DeHoff does it all! Her ability to shoot, edit and produce allows her to shine behind the camera, but it’s her quirky demeanor in front of the camera that truly sets her apart.
She isn’t afraid to be herself on television. What you see is exactly what you get. Even Kelly Ripa took notice when “LIVE with Kelly” producers selected Courtenay as a TOP 10 finalist in a nearly 3-month guest co-host search. Courtenay’s audition tapes included a white pantsuit, a black cow and even a cutting horse.
Courtenay comes to Eye Opener from KCTV5 in Kansas City. At Eye Opener she contributes as a producer, editor and on-air talent.
In her free time if she isn’t traveling the world (15 countries and counting) she is probably on the back of a horse! A former Oklahoma State Rodeo team member she still holds her alma mater, OSU, close to her heart. Growing up on a cattle ranch in the Midwest taught her to always work harder than the next guy and to never take no for an answer.
